Control Equation vs Ouput System

Still on the same day as the last post (Sept 8, 2015). We learn that even a little change of control equation can affect the value of output system. This "change" is an additional condition which usually included to a control equation to adjust the system response to be more efficient, we called it "delta". To understand what we are talking about, lets take a look at this !





















Based on the example above, now we know that a delta can adjust the ouput system response depend on what kind of improve response we need.

Feedback vs Order System

Still on the same day as the last post (Sept 8, 2015). We learn that a feedback increase an order of the system. For example, if we add a feedback on a second order system, the system will change into a third order system.


















Based on the example above, now we know that feedback is actually increase the level of order system.

Intelligence Control, The mystery of unstable system

Today, September 8th 2015, mr. Kuswadi invited us to discuss about stability of the system.
For example this equation :

If we look at this system, we must be agree that this system is not stable.

But, have we ever thought "why it called not stable ?"

Most of you probably say that it because its system have a positive root.

But, If I ask "Why a system with a positive root always be classified as unstable system ?"

What is your answer ???




This is the main topic that we have to discuss about. We called it "The mystery of unstable system". On the first time we discuss it, there are many of us thought that that was normal as an aksioma, because we don't know the real reason which cause of this condition. But is that actually an aksioma ? the truth is not, correlation between positive root and a system is not an aksioma. As a proof now we have to solve this problem.



if the system is given an impuls, what will happen ?


 

Now we can look at the line diagram on the right, that was the caracteristic of response system which given. Because the response value of the system is progessively larger until it reaches infinity, thats how the system is said to be unstable.
Problem solved, it proofed that a system with at least one positive root definelly not stable !

The Definition of Stability

Total  response output system : 
The definition of stability (based on natural response) :
  • The system is stable if natural response is close to zero when the time approaches infinity
  • The system is not stable if natural response approaching infinity when the time approaches infinity
  • The system is marginally stable if natural response is constant or oscillating regularly 
The definition of stability (based on total response) :
  • The system is stable if every bounded input aimlessly limited output as well.
  • The system is not stable if every bounded input result in an unlimited output

First Day of Intelligence Control Course - Part II

Still on the first day of the intelligent control course, continue to the part II, mr. Kuswadi try to discus about balance system which is the basic topic of control. Something that we discus is this equation :

From the diagram above, we know that a system have a caracteristic that if the system had at least one positive root, its system must be not stable.
After that, mr. Kuswadi give an example with a irigation system on a reservoir, there are input dam, output dam, and a reservoir which is must be on a 10 meters deep level of water. We learn that output dam is not an error of the system, but something we need on the system, its a LOAD or DISTURBANCE. Quote : "gangguan adalah sesuatu yang inheren dengan suatu sistem" which mean "disturbance is something that inheren with a system" said mr. Kuswadi. Time for the course is over, the study will be continued on the pracical session. Class dismised....
Now, at 01.30 pm we continue for the practical session with mr. Nofria Hanafi. In this session we are discussing about the topic for every groups. after we are discussing and looking for the tool we need, mr. Hanafi decided to give our group, group 5, RTSS to become our group topics. RTSS is "Robot Tangan Satu Sendi" which mean "Single Joint Arm Robot". After that we start to search any information of it and we will meet again on the next week.

First Day of Intelligence Control Course

September 1th 2015, today we are start to study about intelligence control in 7th semester at room TC302 Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya (EEPIS). Mr. Son Kuswadi did an intro-lecturing with kind. He tell us about his plan of lecturing way, "challenge-based learning". Challenge-based Learning (CLB) is a learning method which pioneered by education staff at Aple, Inc. The approach focuses on increasing student engagement. Unlike problem-based learning, CBL is a learning method which make student be required to study indepenpently, solving their problem by theirself, practice it to analise, and then publish everything that they got to the worldwide audience. lecturer just obligate to supervied his student and give suggestion.
Mr. Kuswadi want to do research about better learning-method which someday he could apply to the learning-method at EEPIS or even at all universities in Indonesia. Mr. Kuswadi want to try this method to our class (Mekatronika 4-B) and compare it with other class (Mekatronika 4-A) which using classic method (PBL).
Then mr. Kuswadi divide us to seven groups, heres the detail:
Group 1 : Tara, Afi, Sam, Andreas
Group 2 : Intan, Desna, Jontor
Group 3 : Ersa, Latif, Ardha, Burhan
Group 4 : Dana, Yazid, Fuad, Hamdan
Group 5 : Diaz, Efrad, Satrio, Firman
Group 6 : Efa, Sobrun, Diptya, Rama
Group 7 : Kiki, Andri, Ghaly, Ahkam
I was part of group 5, which have four member including me. Mr. Kuswadi ask each group to make a logbook database about our reasearch of intelligence control in google drive, the logbook in google drive then must be published to the worldwide through a weblog, that was the reason we make this page. This page is labeled as Intelligence Control. This page is part of myweblog which happen already there on the web, Bukan's Tutorial.
Mr. Kuswadi also ask us to make a mailing list of our class to make our class discussion more  superviced by him. The mailing list which we build was on Telegram, a chatt-based social media on android.
Then, mr. Kuswadi suggest us to use book "Kendali Cerdas" which authored by him as refference to help us study more about intelligence control. But, he said that now that book is rarely seen in bookstore like Gramedia. So, I bought it in bukalapak.com because its stock still avalaible.
Hahaha, online shop is really helpful. Actually I hope you buy this book too, because I really recoment it. After mr. Kuswadi suggest us to use his book, He start to ask us question about balance system to review our last course which we got on last semester, then ...... (continue to the next post)

Introduction - Jaringan Komputer & Multimedia

Tidak terasa sudah masuk semester 6. Pertemuan pertama pada mata kuliah jaringan komputer dan multimedia seperti semester-semester sebelumnya hanya berisi pengenalan umum mengenai apa yang akan dipelajari selama satu semester. Mulanya yang terpikir adalah materi mengenai TCP-IP, Netmasking, Topologi, OSI layer dan hal-hal lainnya yang berbasis ethernet yang dulu saya pelajari di bangku SMK, ternyata jaringan komputer di teknik mekatronika lebih fokus pada komunikasi dan antarmuka pada mikrokontroler, PC, PLC, dan GUI interface.

Gambar di samping merupakan gambaran umum dari apa yang akan dipelajari satu semester ke depan, yah walaupun sama-sama jaringan komputer, ternyata ada jenis komunikasi seperti ini juga, benar-benar hal baru yang saya dapat di bidang networking dan yang pasti di Mekatronika.
